The Stubben Virginia Jump saddle is a top-tier, modern jumping saddle from Stubben, crafted to provide an athletic feel, precision, and close contact. Its design reflects contemporary trends in show jumping and hunter classes.

Key Features:

"Spring Tree" Design (Steel Spring Tree): Like most Stubben saddles, it's built on their renowned steel spring tree, engineered to flex with the horse's back, absorb shock, and protect the wither and spine.

Narrow Twist: A significant feature, the narrow twist (often referred to as an "NT Tree") provides the rider with a desirable close-contact feel, enhancing proximity to the horse's barrel.

Modern Flat Seat with Wide Rear: It features a relatively flat seat that widens considerably at the rear, offering ample support for the rider when landing or sitting down, without restricting movement.

Forward-Cut Flap: The flaps are forward-cut to accommodate a shorter jumping stirrup length, supporting the rider's leg in a secure and balanced position over fences.

Latex Panels (Non-Adjustable by Fitter): This is a key differentiator. The panels are filled with latex foam, which provides a very consistent, firm, and resilient feel. Unlike wool, latex panels cannot be adjusted or re-flocked by a saddle fitter. Their shape is fixed.

No Front Gussets: This contributes to a sleeker, potentially closer contact profile under the rider's leg and relies more purely on the tree shape for shoulder fit.

Wide Contact Surface & Wide Channel: The panels (though latex) are designed to offer a broad bearing surface for even weight distribution, and it features a wide gullet channel for excellent spinal clearance.

Adjustable Gullet: The steel spring tree's width (gullet) is adjustable by a professional saddle fitter (cold/heat press).

Premium Leather: Crafted from high-quality, supple de Luxe leather, providing excellent grip, durability, and a luxurious feel.

Horse Shapes It Is More Likely to Suit:

The Stubben Virginia Jump saddle with latex panels and no front gussets is best suited for horses with consistent and stable conformations, as the panels offer limited ongoing adjustment.
Horses with Consistent/Stable Back Shapes: Ideal for horses whose back musculature and shape are relatively stable and symmetrical, as the fixed latex panels will not adapt to significant or frequent changes in shape.

Horses with Defined, but Not Extremely Broad or Flat Withers: The Stubben tree generally suits horses with clear wither definition that transitions smoothly into their back.

Horses with Consistent Shoulder Angles: The absence of front gussets means the panel shape over the shoulder is more fixed. It will fit horses whose shoulder conformation aligns well with the pre-formed latex panel, allowing for good shoulder freedom without impingement.

Horses Needing Good Spinal Clearance: The wide channel and panel design generally provide excellent room along the spine.

Riders Who Prefer a Consistent Feel: Latex panels offer a very stable and firm feel that some riders prefer over the softer, more adaptable nature of wool flocking.
