The G2 Saddle is designed right here in NEW ZEALAND, based on real rider feedback and expert saddle fitting knowledge. It’s handcrafted in Argentina by skilled makers, ensuring every detail meets our standards.

Key Characteristics and Features:

Designed for Ponies: The most distinguishing feature is its design specifically for ponies. This means the tree, panels, and flap dimensions are scaled appropriately to fit the shorter backs and often wider builds of ponies, while also suiting the leg length and seat size of a junior or smaller adult rider.

Jump-Oriented Design: As its name suggests, it's built for jumping disciplines. 

Forward-cut flaps: To accommodate a shorter stirrup length and allow the rider to maintain a balanced jumping position.

Adjustable Velcro knee & calf blocks: Offer support and security for the rider's leg over fences, but without being overly restrictive for a pony. 

Medium seat: Offers a balanced and secure seat for jumping, allowing freedom of movement for the rider.

Traditional Construction: G2 saddles are handcrafted in Argentina, using traditional methods. 

Wool flocked panels: This allows for excellent shock absorption and, crucially, can be adjusted by a qualified saddle fitter to ensure a precise fit for the pony's back, accommodating changes in shape over time.

High-quality leather: Made from durable and supple bovine leather.

Emphasis on Fit: While the "Mali" is a specific model, variations in tree width and panel configurations are usually available to cater to the diverse shapes of ponies.

Considerations for the G2 Mali Pony Jump:

Pony Conformation: While designed for ponies, fitting is still paramount. A qualified saddle fitter should assess your pony's back shape, wither clearance, and shoulder freedom to ensure the correct tree width and configuration.

Rider Size and Leg Length: Even though it's a pony saddle, the seat size and flap length still need to be appropriate for the individual rider to ensure balance and effectiveness.
