SUITABILITY

Thanks to the Adjusta-Tree™ and wool-flocked panels, the Albion K2 Legend Dressage saddle is designed to be highly versatile and can be adjusted to fit a wide range of horse conformations. However, it particularly excels with:

Horses with Varying Wither Profiles: The Adjusta-Tree™ allows it to be adjusted to fit horses from narrow to extra-wide, accommodating different wither heights and shapes. Specific "head shapes" (U and XU) are available to cater to horses with more defined or broader withers (e.g., Warmblood, Cob/Connemara tree types), and sometimes a "Thoroughbred" tree for higher-withered, narrower types.

Horses with a Medium to Slightly Curved Back: While highly adjustable, the standard tree tends to suit horses with a relatively straight to moderately curved topline. The wool flocking allows for adjustments to follow the nuances of the back.

Horses with "Some Wither" or a Defined Back: The design, particularly with options like drop panels, makes it suitable for horses that have a distinguishable wither and require good weight distribution along their back.

Horses Whose Shape Changes: The adjustability of the wooden tree (by a fitter) and the wool flocking make it an excellent choice for young horses developing muscle, horses in changing levels of work, or those that change shape seasonally.

Deep Seat with Supportive Leg Position: Riders generally appreciate its deep seat, which provides security and helps maintain a correct dressage position. The standard knee rolls are soft, supportive, and fixed in position under the flap. 

Dual Flap Design: traditional for many dressage saddles, offering durability and a classic look. 

Adjusta-Tree™ (Adjustable Wooden Tree): This is a hallmark of modern Albion saddles. The K2 Legend features Albion's unique patented Adjusta-Tree™, which is a precision-engineered wooden saddle tree that allows for adjustments by an authorized Albion saddle fitter using a pressure machine. This system typically allows for up to a 2-size adjustment (up or down from its original stamp) without distortion, significantly extending the saddle's lifespan and adaptability.

Wool Flocked Panels: Yes, the panels are pure wool flocked, often with a felt lining. This is a significant advantage as it allows for customized flocking adjustments by a qualified saddle fitter to achieve a precise and comfortable fit for the horse's individual back shape and muscle development. Drop panels are often available as an option, which are beneficial for horses with more pronounced withers or needing a larger weight-bearing area.

High-Quality Materials: Crafted from full-grain English leather, with hide-covered seat and knee pads, giving it a durable yet luxurious feel.

V-Girthing System: Commonly features a V-billeting system to help stabilize the saddle evenly on the horse's back.
